Comunet is an IT consulting company that offers Cloud and Cyber Security Consulting, Custom App Development, Custom IT Infrastructure, and Managed IT Services.
The Brief
An SEO consultant for Comunet reached out to me for support with creating conversational content around relevant tech topics. The goal was to boost website traffic via SEO, social, and paid channels, helping the brand position themselves as experts in data, analytics, and BI.
The Work
A lot of the time, the challenge with writing tech-focused blogs is that the in-house experts either don’t have time to write, don’t like writing stuff, or don’t write very well. And getting an outsider to write the content sometimes means you get something that’s factually incorrect, shallow, or a regurgitation of everything that’s already on the internet.
The solution (which we applied here!) is often to schedule a ~30 min Zoom call between the writer and the in-house tech expert. Use that time to talk through the topic in detail, then the writer goes away and creates the content. The in-house expert can do a quick accuracy check and put their name on the content — since it did come from them in the first place.
With each of these pieces, I suggested relevant stock images to break up the content, and two social media snippets to make it easy to share the content. And of course, I ensured each blog was optimised for the best keywords that matched the topic.
