About the Client
SOCO is an Australian information management consultancy that prides themselves on delivering transformative business outcomes with intelligent and human-centred use of information technology — people first, technology second.
Case Study
Having already worked with me in her previous role, the Marketing Manager at SOCO reached out to me for support with some content projects, with the goal of increasing visibility for the brand and boosting website visitors.
We kicked off with a case study for the brand, highlighting the work they’d been doing on a specific project, and the outcomes they’d achieved. SOCO briefed me on this by providing me with two recorded interviews where their clients discussed the project, a proposal and report outlining the work done, and an example of a previous case study format they liked.
Rather than following a standard case study style, we broke up the content under different sections, with plenty of dot points to make it easy to scan. This included an initial summary section, quotes, challenge, solution, technology snapshot, and outcome.
Planning a Website Refresh
Following this project, SOCO asked me to put together a rough plan for refreshing their website copy, with the goal of ensuring brand consistency (following a recent update) and increasing their SEO presence.
Since the scope wasn’t set in stone, I suggested a planning phase (to go through the data, research keywords, and confirm pages), then an editing/writing phase to update copy where needed, improve internal linking, and bulk up thinner pages with more content.
