About the Client

STA Consulting Engineers is one of the most trusted residential construction engineering companies in the Australian building industry. They have a strong reputation, built from over 30 years of delivering a consistently high standard of service in both commercial and residential construction.

The Brief

STA works with a marketing consultant that specialises in industrial brands (building, construction, manufacturing, and the like). This consultant connected with me (via my other business, The Digital Brew) and engaged our team to rebuild the STA Consulting Engineers website — providing copy, design, development, SEO, and ongoing support. 

STA wanted to establish a more modern, professional brand that would help them deliver new service initiatives, while growing their client base. To support this, their specific goals were to improve their SEO, better connect with their audience, strengthen their brand, improve conversion rates, and overall refresh the look and feel of their brand. 

The Work

We spent several months working on this project, collaborating on a plan to recreate the existing services pages and flesh them out with more content and a clear structure. This included in-depth SEO research, ensuring that we chose strong keywords that would be relevant for STA’s audience. 

I refreshed the content, giving it a stronger, friendlier brand voice, and covering the topics in more depth. 

Once the copy drafts were completed, Stew (my husband and web designer) created a new look that reflects STA Consulting Engineers’ unique, modern, and streamlined approach to their services. 

Initially, the site went live with 6 services pages — then several years later, we added 25 sub-pages under these, all optimised for SEO. The site also includes a home page, about page, blog feed, contact page, and detailed, multi-step quote form (that helps to streamline their quoting and sales process). 

The site performs quite well in Google — ranking highly for a number of high traffic, relevant, and competitive terms. It’s a fabulous example of what’s possible when you create landing pages for each of your services and optimise them (in combination with a fast, user-friendly website)!
