About the Client
Tribal Group creates education software used by schools, further education providers, and higher education providers all over the world. Their software includes student information systems, admissions systems, student marketing and recruitment software, student support and wellbeing solutions, and student engagement solutions.
The Brief
Tribal’s APAC marketing team reached out to me for content writing support to help them produce more APAC region focused content (since most of their marketing is produced by and for the UK team).
The Work
Over the last couple of years, I’ve produced a number of long-form blogs, whitepapers, and case studies for Tribal. Typically, this process involves keyword research, recordings, Zoom calls with subject matter experts, and a whole lot of online research. If there’s a particular product or theme the marketing team wants to focus on, sometimes we’ll work together to come up with a content plan and suitable topics.
My natural writing style does tend towards academic-but-conversational, which makes me a natural fit for the Tribal brand. I always go out of my way to seek out academic references when writing content for Tribal, knowing that the audience likely appreciates this more than the average reader. It often takes me a while to write this type of content, but I reckon it’s worth the effort.
With each piece, I typically source appropriate images to accompany the content from Deposit Photos (since the marketing team has an active subscription) and include plenty of internal links to related content and services pages.
